To celebrate the National Portrait Gallery’s exhibition "RECOGNIZE! Hip Hop and Contemporary Portraiture" we invite you to share your own hip hop portraits. To you, what defines a hip hop portrait? Do you have concert photographs depicting hip hop musical stars? Or your own hip hop self-portrait? I think this is something that Orange has that they can share with the rest of the country, I think the photographing and posting of the people and events in Orange as well as clothing styles would interest students. It would be a snapshot of cultural in 2008 of this community. Couse work will consist of listening to an in interview on site and going out in the commmunity and photographing and recording hip hop examples with a possible show at Valley Arts open to the public.
