Some thoughts about past classes:

On Sunday, May 18th, Maggie Thompson gave a talk about Paul Robeson.  Drawing on her own recollections of his concerts and visits to her home, Maggie helped people appreciate the accomplishments of this remarkable New Jerseyan.  Though overlooked for the first-round of the New Jersey Hall of Fame, this actor, singer, lawyer, people's advocate certainly deserves recognition as one of our state's greatest citizens.  A short film of her talk will be posted soon!

I am so sorry I missed this. Paul Robeson was also a visitor to our home when I was very young. I attended school with his grandchildren David and Susan. I recall my parents attending his concerts and going to see his films. What about a Paul Robeson Film Festival in April 2009 ?

Maggie mentioned that a friend had gone to school with Pauli's children! We did videotape it so we'll be able to show it soon. The film festival is great idea, and even better as Paul Robeson lived in Orange -- we should put this on the school calendar.

I didn't know he lived in Orange. Do you know where ? I am going to make sure that there is a designation of this fact at the location.
